Applications close: 11:59 PM PST, June 7, 2020
Applications reviewed: June 8 – June 14, 2020
Notification of selection and non-selection to applicants: Week of June 15, 2020
Welcome letters to participants: June 18 – June 20, 2020
Guardian and Participants Orientation/Onboarding: June 27 or June 28
Eligibility
Be 15 years old by December 31, 2019
Be currently enrolled as a sophomore, junior, or senior at a public high school in Alameda or West Contra Costa; we are also accepting seniors for 2020
Be a US citizen or permanent resident
Have a GPA of at least 2.5 and passed Algebra 1
Commit to being present for all 4 weeks of the program, in the month of July 2020 (9 am - 12 pm, Monday through Thursday)
Be interested in learning about STEM careers and conducting scientific experiments
Required Documents
One (1) recommendation from your science, math or technology teacher and/or mentor - a google form will be emailed to references beginning Monday, June 8, 2020
A personal statement which includes why you are interested in the apprenticeship program
This will not be a separate document, a paragraph submission will be included in the application
**Submit all required documentation to complete the application process, incomplete applications will not be processed
Pay/benefits
Students will be compensated with a monetary stipend.
