Middle School Programs
Middle school is a time for exploration, and we are delighted to share what's going on at the lab with interested students. In addition to supporting STEM/STEAM nights, we host reverse science fairs at local schools to demonstrate and share our science.
For lab employees only
BKTW will be happening on Friday, April 17, 2020. Kids from ages 9 to 16 are welcome to participate in activities around the Lab such as tours of the Molecular Foundry and Advanced Light Source, workshops on Big Data and DNA Spooling, and a Science Festival with demonstrations.
Reverse Science Fair
Spring 2020 events have already been planned
Berkeley Lab will be running a travelling science fair for LBNL employees to share their science (or ways they support science) in an accessible platform for middle school students. Requests for Fall 2020 will be shared in Summer 2020 via our educator newsletter.
Do you have a program at your school in need of scientists and engineers? Is there a STEM/STEAM Night coming up? Berkeley Lab would like to be a part of your efforts! Submit a request so that we can help put you in contact with a speaker or facilitate an activity.
