In collaboration with Berkeley Lab's Early Career Employee Resource Group and Community Resources for Science, the Berkeley Lab K-12 Program flipped the traditional science fair. STEM and STEM adjacent professionals visited Berkeley, CA middle schools and presented their 'science project' for 8th-grade students to view and judge. Professionals had the opportunity to practice their communication skills and students received accessible introductions to STEM research and careers.

April 8, 2024 

More than 60 students and teachers from the Bay Area were welcomed to the Lab by the Engineering and Nuclear Science Divisions. Students engaged in a round of speed networking, in which they shared their career aspirations with engineers and technicians. Moreover, students learned about the variety of roles and operations that occur at the 88-Inch Cyclotron.
