This April, the Berkeley Lab K-12 team hosted its second Science en Acción program, a bilingual Spanish-English STEM camp designed for Bay Area high school students. Over four days, participants explored science and engineering through hands-on activities, career panels, and research experiences at both Berkeley Lab and UC Berkeley. Selected through a competitive application process in early 2025, students spent three days on site during their spring break, engaging in coding and physics workshops and touring Berkeley Lab’s world-class user facilities.

Berkeley Lab hosted students from Alameda, Berkeley, Oakland, and West Contra Costa Unified School Districts, highlighting particle accelerator science and engineering with their applications. Students had the opportunity to tour Berkeley Lab's cutting-edge facilities, network with staff across various departments, and participate in job shadowing.
