2025 Program

Program Elements

The curriculum will include an introduction to Python course, data science, and a number of scientific projects and bioscience related experiments. Participants will be provided with the necessary materials to complete projects and interact with researchers and operations staff. All participants will give a final presentation. This is an in-person program. Students are expected to travel to the Berkeley Main Campus, Monday thru Friday of each week. 

Payment

Participants will be eligible for a monetary stipend during the middle and at the conclusion of the program. Students will be paid $500 per week. 

2025 Important dates

Applications close: March 23, 2025 at 11:59 PM PST (We recommed submissions by March 21) 

Applications review: March 24 through April 5, 2025

Applicant Interviews: mid April 

Notification of selection and non-selection to applicants: May 3, 2025

Orientation 1: This will be an introduction to the program and to help students go over the required paperwork. There will be two virtual sessions held:

• Wednesday May 7, 2025

• Saturday May 10, 2025

Orientation 2: Students will be required to attend. This virtual orientation will cover logistics and onboarding. 

• Wednesday June 11, 2025
